Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in California

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 30-day assignment in California. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4pm, involving responsibilities such as sick call management, chronic and preventative care procedures, trauma triage, and comprehensive charting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage sick calls and conduct rounds
• Perform chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups
• Run preventative care clinics
• Potentially provide infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases
• Conduct trauma triage
• Complete thorough charting notes
• Manage medication refills and address medication non-compliance
• Perform morning PA/NP procedures like suture removal and follow-ups
• Manage chronic diseases including asthma, diabetes, and hypertension
• Handle acute conditions like colds, coughs, and flu
• Conduct annual health evaluations and initial inmate assessments
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, toenail removals, incision and drainage, and suturing
• Respond to emergencies on the assigned floor as needed
• May be required to assist with intake processes
