Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in Connecticut

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Connecticut. This role involves Monday and Friday 10-hour shifts, supplemented by one 8 AM to 12 PM shift on a Saturday or Sunday each month. You will manage primary care and family practice needs, including chronic disease management, well visits, and acute care, often addressing complex patient needs within a community health setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care and family practice services
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol
• Conduct routine well visits and general check-ups
• Diagnose and treat acute conditions, including coughs, colds, and flu
• Address potential substance abuse, comorbidities, and dual diagnoses within a community health patient population

• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Call Schedule: No call
• Patients per day: 20-24 (average 3 patients per hour, 20-minute visits)
• LOA: 60 Days
• Staffing Mix: Each provider works within a team pod that includes a medical assistant, RN, and Behavioral Health specialist, with access to an on-site medical director for support
