Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in ME

Job Description

Our client in Maine is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment. This role involves covering an outpatient clinic from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, focusing on timely charting and effective collaboration with support staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients across various age groups, including newborns, infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents.
• Perform general outpatient services, including well-woman care.
• Execute orthopedic procedures such as incision and drainage (I&D), management of common musculoskeletal problems, trigger point and joint injections, and splinting.
• Cover the outpatient clinic from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient charting.
• Collaborate effectively with support staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery.

• Call Schedule: No call
• Patients per day: 18-22
• LOA: 60 days
• Staffing Mix: 1 MA to each provider, 1 RN to 2 providers, other physicians present
