Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in PA

Job Description

We are actively seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in PA, starting Sep 7, 2026. This role involves 7:30am - 4pm shifts, focusing on daily infirmary rounds, sick calls, physicals, and comprehensive patient care for general medical cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct daily infirmary rounds and restricted housing unit rounds.
• Perform sick calls, physicals, emergency, and admissions consults.
• Manage general medical cases, including IV treatments, oxygen monitoring, sutures, splints, and common illnesses like colds, coughs, and bronchitis.
• Provide MAT Program follow-ups for patients on Vivitrol and Revia, addressing dual diagnosis for addiction.
• Monitor transgender patients, including bloodwork and medication management.
• Manage chronic care, including scheduled clinics and referrals for extreme cases.
• Handle morning APP lines.
• Complete charting, EMR queue review, and lab/x-ray review.
