Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Family Practice Needed in WA

Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Washington. This role involves comprehensive outpatient care from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on preventative care, acute visits, chronic disease management, behavioral health, women’s health, and pediatric care for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care, including preventative services, wellness exams, and chronic disease management for conditions like hypertension and diabetes.
• Manage acute care needs such as minor injuries, infections, respiratory issues, and urgent walk-ins.
• Address behavioral health concerns including depression, anxiety, and substance use support.
• Offer basic gynecological care, screenings, and family planning services within scope.
• Conduct routine pediatric check-ups and manage common childhood illnesses.
• Perform procedures such as toenail removal, suturing, I&Ds, Nexplanon insertion and removal (with training), wound care, and wart removal.
• Participate in the MAT program, focusing on continuity and patient access.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions across a diverse patient population.
• Collaborate with on-site clinical staff and support care coordination efforts.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and comply with all clinic protocols.
• Support underserved and tribal health initiatives with culturally competent care.
