Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in Florida

Our client in Florida seeks a Family Practice Physician for a 40-day assignment. This role involves comprehensive family practice and occupational medicine for government employees, offering a Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The physician will manage a variety of cases including pre-employment physicals, chronic and acute care, and medication management in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive family practice and occupational medicine services for government employees
• Conduct pre-employment physicals for police, fire, and civilian personnel
• Manage chronic care conditions and medication regimens
• Offer acute care for walk-in patients
• Oversee medication management, including dispensing on-site when appropriate
• Address GLP1 and ADHD patient needs

• Call Schedule: No Call
• Patients per day: Typically 12-15 physicals, up to 18 per day, with 30-60 minute appointments. Two same-day appointments are allowed daily.
• LOA: 40 Days
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including 30 minutes for lunch and 30 minutes for paid administrative time daily.
• Staffing Mix: Solo physician role supported by a part-time Nurse Practitioner (Tuesday-Friday), three per diem Nurse Practitioners for vacation coverage, and three full-time Medical Assistants (one front desk, one day-to-day, one back office).
