We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Gastroenterology for an 84-day assignment in California. This role requires M-F 7am to 4pm ASC coverage, including performing endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCPs, as well as managing GI bleeds. Candidates should be available for night and weekend call for inpatient services, with a preference for a 7 on, 7 off schedule or at least one week per month of availability.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services in an Ambulatory Surgery Center setting.
Perform endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
Execute ERCPs (EUS not required).
Manage gastrointestinal bleeds effectively.
Handle inpatient and outpatient consults, averaging 0-3 per call shift.
Oversee patient transports, approximately 3-4 per week.
Cover night and weekend call for inpatient services, primarily via phone with rare call-backs.
Work M-F from 7am to 4pm in the ASC.
Utilize Olympus scopes for procedures.
Administer conscious sedation when occasionally necessary.
