Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in CA

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for an 80-day assignment with our client, starting Nov 17, 2026, in California. This position involves a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule, incorporating a mix of clinic, inpatient care, and call responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage general GI cases, procedures, and consults, including overnight and weekend 24-hour call.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for all general GI cases, procedures, and consults.
• Conduct inpatient rounds each morning.
• Manage scheduled clinic patients.
• Perform procedures in the lab.
• Be available for on-call duties throughout shifts, after-hours, and for 24-hour weekend call.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required.
• EMR System: Epic
• Work Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Call Schedule: Weeknight and 24-hour weekend call.
• ERCP proficiency is a significant advantage, though not mandatory.
