Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in North Carolina

Our client in North Carolina seeks a dedicated Gastroenterologist Physician for a 90-day assignment. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, three weeks per month, with no holidays or call requirements. The incoming physician will perform a range of procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopy, small bowel biopsies, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
• Upper GI endoscopy with foreign body removal
• Upper GI endoscopy with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser)
• Upper GI endoscopy with injection of varices
• Small Bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy Flexible
• Sigmoidoscopy Rigid
• Colonoscopy with biopsy
• Colonoscopy with excision of polyp
