Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in NC

Job Description

Our client in North Carolina seeks a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a 60-day assignment beginning Jan 1, 2027. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and involves performing comprehensive gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures, including upper and lower GI, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy with various interventions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
• Upper GI endoscopy with foreign body removal
• Upper GI endoscopy with fulguration of bleeder (cautery versus laser)
• Upper GI endoscopy With injection of varices
• Small Bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy Flexible
• Sigmoidoscopy Rigid
• Colonoscopy with biopsy
• Colonoscopy with excision of polyp
