Our client in North Carolina seeks a dedicated Gastroenterologist for a 60-day assignment, working two weeks a month, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with no holidays or call requirements. This role involves performing a comprehensive range of procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration, along with small bowel biopsies, sigmoidoscopies, and colonoscopies including polyp excision.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices
Conduct Small Bowel biopsy
Perform Lower GI endoscopy
Conduct Sigmoidoscopy, both Flexible and Rigid
Perform Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
