Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in Washington

Our client in WA is seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Physician for a 90-day assignment. This role, starting as soon as possible, involves a varied schedule, including ASC hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, gastro clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and optional 24-hour call coverage for the hospital on weekends and evenings. The physician will be responsible for a range of gastroenterological procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, dilation, general GI procedures, and potentially advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform colonoscopy, EGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy, dilation, and general GI procedures
• Conduct advanced procedures, including ERCP, EUS, double balloon enteroscopy, and capsule endoscopy, if applicable

Additional Information

• Board Certification: Gastroenterology
• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient (Clinic, Outpatient Endo Center, Hospital)
• Call Schedule: 24-hour call on weekends and evenings for hospital duties, including consulting, rounding, and inpatient/outpatient GI procedures. Call is optional but preferred.
• Patient Volume: Approximately 16 patients per day in clinic, 14-16 patients per day in the outpatient endoscopy center, and an average daily hospital census of 4 patients.
• LOA: 90 Days
• Staffing Mix: Work collaboratively with other Gastroenterologists within the practice
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
