Locum Tenens Physician - General Diagnostic Radiology with Mammography Needed in MI

Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in General Diagnostic Radiology with Mammography for an on-site, 182-day assignment in Michigan, starting Dec 18, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and various image-guided procedures within a fast-paced, clinic-based environment. The successful candidate will also manage same-day diagnostic workups and engage in direct patient communication.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive on-site breast imaging coverage.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
• Execute image-guided procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
• Ensure high knowledge of BI-RADS and MQSA requirements in all activities.
• Manage same-day diagnostic workups effectively.
• Communicate results and procedures directly with patients with strong patient-facing skills.
• Collaborate closely with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams.
• Maintain detail-oriented reporting standards.
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced, clinic-based environment.
• Manage a workload breakdown of approximately 45-55% screening mammography, 25-35% diagnostics, and 15-25% procedures.
