Locum Tenens Physician - General Surgeon Needed in NC

Job Description

Our client in North Carolina is seeking a skilled General Surgeon for an 8-day assignment starting Jul 17, 2026. This role involves 24-hour weekend call shifts, performing a variety of general surgical procedures, including ICU/CC procedures, within a hospital setting that includes operating rooms, a ED, and a inpatient unit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform 24-hour weekend call shifts.
• Manage cases within a facility equipped with ORs, a ED, a fast track, and a hospital inpatient unit.
• Perform ICU/CC procedures as required.
• Anticipate approximately 65 surgical cases per month.
• Treat a diverse range of cases including Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Bowel Obstructions, I & D, EGD, Amputation, and Strangulated Hernia.
