Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology Needed in LA

Job Description

Our client in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment starting Dec 5, 2026. This role involves managing a high-volume practice with complex patients, focusing on significant coordination of care in an outpatient clinic and infusion suite setting. The schedule typically runs from 8am-5pm, with occasional Saturday morning call rotations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage a high-volume practice caring for complex patients with co-morbidities
• Provide significant coordination of care for patients
• Work until the completion of the last chemo/biotherapy each day
• Follow a full panel of patients in a clinic setting
• Conduct treatment visits, follow-ups, and new patient appointments
• Provide care in an outpatient infusion suite with 16 infusion chairs
• Perform no inpatient rounding

• Call Schedule: Rotate Saturday call 8am to noon, approximately once every 3 months
