Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology Needed in MO

Job Description

Our client in Missouri is actively seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant for a 90-day assignment beginning Dec 1, 2026. This role entails working 6p-6a shifts, where you will round with physicians, manage a patient panel, handle emergency room consults, and document progress notes. The position involves supporting patients frequently admitted to the inpatient unit from an affiliated clinic that operates seven days a week, with a strong preference for experience with stem cell infusions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Round with physicians on patient care.
• Manage a dedicated patient panel.
• Conduct consults for emergency room patients.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Support patients transitioning from clinic to inpatient unit, as many report with severe symptoms.
• Care for Hematology/Oncology and Car T program patients, all located on one dedicated floor.
• Experience with stem cell infusions is strongly preferred.
