Locum Tenens Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist Needed in Michigan

We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for an immediate start in Michigan for an assignment extending through Dec 31, 2026. This flexible role offers options for 2-5 days per week and 2-4 weeks per month, with full-time M-F 8a-5p shifts and a shared call pool. Responsibilities include participation on a Tumor Board, ordering tests and images, prescribing, and performing FNA/Biopsies, primarily focusing on malignant and benign hematology with occasional solid tumor cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Participate on a Tumor Board
• Order tests and imaging studies
• Prescribe necessary medications
• Perform FNA/Biopsies
• Manage a typical variety of malignant and benign hematology patients
• Provide call coverage for all patients, including solid tumor cases

Additional Information

• Board Certifications: Hematology, Medical Oncology
• Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Clinic and Call, Inpatient and Outpatient
• Call Schedule: Out of House Call, 5p-7a, shared call pool
• Patients per day: Hospital (Call/Rounding): 10-15; Outpatient (Clinic/Office): 15
• LOA: 40 Days
• Staffing Mix: APP support including 5 inpatient APPs covering 2 hospitals and 6 outpatient APPs
