Locum Tenens Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist Needed in OR

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist for a 208-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon. The Physician will work 3-4 days per week, 8am to 5pm, in a hospital-based clinic. This role involves managing a gradually increasing patient load, providing comprehensive care for a 50/50 split of Hematology and Oncology cases, and conducting new consults, follow-ups, and transition of care appointments.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work 3-4 days per week in a hospital-based clinic
• Gradually increase patient load from 4-5 patients initially to 10-15 patients per day
• Manage a 50/50 split of Hematology and Oncology cases
• Allocate 60 minutes for new patient consults
• Conduct follow-up appointments within 20-30 minutes
• Perform 45-minute transition of care consultations
• Work within a facility where the Infusion Center and Clinic are co-located
• Provide care without the need for chair-side infusion
• Exclude Leukemia and Bone Marrow cases from the caseload
