Locum Tenens Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist Needed in Oregon

Our client in Oregon is seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist for a 48-day assignment. This role involves working two weeks per month, with four 8-hour shifts per week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The physician will manage follow-up appointments and active treatments, with a patient mix of approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology, in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage 3-month, 6-month, and annual follow-up appointments for patients
• Provide active treatments for both oncology and hematology cases
• Oversee a patient panel consisting of approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology cases
• Consideration will be given to providers primarily focused on oncology
• Perform bone marrow biopsies, if capable

Additional Information

• Board Certifications required in Hematology and Medical Oncology
• EMR: Epic
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Work Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Call is required for this position
• Anticipated patient volume: 14-15 patients per day
• LOA: 48 Days
• Staffing Mix: 2 physicians, 1 Physician Assistant, infusion nurses, 2 Registered Nurses, and Patient Navigators (who are also Registered Nurses)
