Locum Tenens Physician - Hematologist Needed in IA

Job Description

Our client in Iowa is actively seeking a skilled Hematologist Physician for a 90-day assignment beginning Aug 3, 2026. This role involves a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule, with clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM and a call schedule yet to be determined. The Physician will manage a variety of medical hematology/oncology cases, encompassing patient assessments, new and ongoing treatment plans, therapy adjustments, and comprehensive chemotherapy and pain management.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Patient assessments
• Develop new treatment plans
• Manage ongoing treatment plans
• Implement changes in therapy
• Refer patients for ancillary services
• Provide end of life care
• Oversee chemotherapy management
• Administer pain management

Additional Information

• Board Certifications: Hematology and Medical Oncology
• EMR: Epic
• Case types: Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage for 4/5 days per week, with inpatient coverage of both sites.
• Schedule: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, with clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. Call schedule to be determined.
