Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Hepatologist for a remote locum tenens assignment, commencing Jul 20, 2026. This 48-day assignment requires a commitment of approximately 1-2 hours per month, primarily involving chart reviews and responding to requests within a 24-hour timeframe. The role focuses on critical peer-to-peer consultations for transplant patients, ensuring timely and expert review of their care needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Respond to all chart requests within 24 hours of receipt.
• Conduct fully remote chart reviews, with each review typically taking 5-7 minutes to complete.
• Engage in peer-to-peer chart reviews with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers regarding consultations for eligible transplant patients needing referrals or post-operative care.
• Be available for potential direct patient virtual visits as requested, though this is not a mandatory requirement of the role.
