Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist Needed in DC

Job Description

Our client in DC is seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to begin a 72-day assignment on Nov 1, 2026. This role primarily involves medical management and rounding on patients on the trauma floor. The schedule will primarily be nights from 6 pm to 7 am, with occasional day shifts from 6 am to 7 pm as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide medical management and rounding for patients on the trauma floor.
• Handle rounding and medical management specifically on the trauma surgery floor.
• Place orders.
• Communicate with multi-discipline teams.
• Focus on inpatient medicine, excluding OR time and procedures.

Additional Information

• Inpatient setting.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Shift hours: 6 pm to 7 am, with potential for some day shifts from 6 am to 7 pm.
