We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for an 8-day assignment in Arizona. This role involves 8 days of night shift coverage, working from 7 PM to 7 AM. The Physician will handle a wide range of hospitalist cases, including direct admits and transfers, while also providing crucial support to the ICU team with tasks like drawing blood.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive hospitalist care for direct admits from OR and outpatient settings, as well as transfers from outlying facilities.
Conduct consults and rounds for all hospitalist cases.
Manage a diverse range of patient conditions, including cardiovascular, infectious disease, endocrinology/renal, pulmonary, and GI issues.
Oversee post-surgical management, alcohol withdrawal, delirium, and heart failure cases.
Administer vasoactive and heparin drips.
Co-manage insulin drips with the ICU group.
Be prepared for a wide variety of incoming cases, adapting to limited community resources.
Provide support to the ICU team, assisting with tasks such as drawing blood when requested.
