Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for an engaging 120-day assignment in Maine, commencing Oct 5, 2026. The incoming physician will manage adult inpatient cases across a trauma center and a critical care access hospital, working 7a-5p shifts. This role includes oversight, teaching, and evaluation of residents, along with co-signature of their documentation.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage an adult inpatient census of approximately 15 patients.
  • Oversee daily patient admissions and discharges (averaging 2-4 each).
  • Provide care for adult inpatient cases at a trauma center, including patients with CT surgery and oncology needs.
  • Provide care for adult inpatient cases at a critical care access hospital.
  • Perform non-invasive ventilator management.
  • Offer oversight, teaching, and evaluation of residents.
  • Co-sign resident documentation.


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required.
  • EMR: Epic.
