Locum Tenens Physician - Internal Medicine Needed in Arizona

We are seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for a 120-day assignment in Arizona. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. This role requires a physician dedicated to comprehensive patient care, precise coding and charting, and technological proficiency. The primary objective is to deliver preventative geriatric primary care, focusing on keeping the patient panel out of the hospital and managing various chronic conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive preventative geriatric primary care to a diverse patient panel
• Manage a wide range of chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, CHF, CAD, COPD, asthma, CKD, thyroid disorders, osteoarthritis, and chronic pain
• Address cases related to dementia, cognitive decline, falls, mobility, and osteoporosis
• Handle acute illnesses and infections, ensuring appropriate treatment
• Conduct preventive care and annual wellness visits
• Oversee medication management and provide specialized geriatric care
• Maintain accurate coding and charting practices
• Utilize technology effectively in patient care and record-keeping
• Work collaboratively to minimize hospital admissions for patients
