Locum Tenens Physician - Internal Medicine Needed in Missouri

We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician for a rewarding 120-day assignment in Missouri. This comprehensive role focuses on preventative geriatric primary care, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an emphasis on proactive patient management to prevent hospital admissions. The ideal candidate will be adept at accurate charting, tech-savvy, and committed to patient well-being.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide preventative geriatric primary care, ensuring comprehensive patient wellness.
• Focus on keeping the patient panel out of the hospital through proactive care and management.
• Manage a diverse patient load, including high-risk (15-20%), emerging-risk (10-20%), and low-risk (70-80%) cases.
• Ensure accurate and timely coding and charting of patient encounters.
• Utilize technology effectively and maintain an organized approach to patient care.

• Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Call Schedule: No Call
• Patients per day: 10-12
• LOA: 120 Days
• Staffing Mix: 1 MD, 1 to 1 ratio with provider and MA, NP, Front of house staff (clinic coordinator / front desk admin)
• Additional Requirements: Tech-savvy, organized, and experienced in geriatrics and preventative medicine
