We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician for a 260-day assignment in New York, starting approximately Oct 1, 2024. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule, comprising 36 clinical and 4 administrative hours, with occasional evening and one weekend per month phone call responsibilities. The Physician will deliver general primary and preventative care, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, geriatric care, COPD, and thyroid disease.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide general primary care and preventative medicine services.
Focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases including hypertension, diabetes, geriatric care, COPD, and thyroid disease.
Manage a schedule of office visits, typically in 15 and 30-minute increments.
Anticipate an average patient volume of 20 patients per day.
Collaborate with 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and work alongside office support staff and a tenured LPN.
Participate in an occasional phone call schedule, including evenings and one weekend per month, with nursing staff providing initial triage.
Work shift hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
