Our client in New York seeks a Physician specializing in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine for a 120-day assignment. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. This role involves comprehensive care, including evaluating and managing acute and chronic conditions, providing preventive care, vaccinations, and a strong focus on culturally competent care for the transgender and LGBTQ+ community, particularly those with HIV.
Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in adult patients
Provide routine wellness exams and preventive care
Administer vaccinations
Provide culturally competent care to the transgender and LGBTQ+ community
Treat transgender patients
Work with a high HIV patient population
Apply Infectious Disease training specific for HIV medicine, including management of antiretroviral therapy, PrEP/PEP, STI screening and treatment, and hormone therapy for the transgender community
