Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - Neurological Needed in NM

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Neurological Surgery Physician Assistant for a 28-day assignment in NM. This role involves a 7 on/7 off schedule, typically covering 12-hour shifts for either days or nights. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive inpatient care for all neurosurgery cases, with opportunities for float and holiday coverage as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing comprehensive care for all neurosurgery cases
• Working a 7 on/7 off schedule, including day or night shifts
• Participating in float coverage as needed, primarily nights
• Handling anticipated 1-2 weeks of coverage every few months
• Being open to holiday coverage opportunities

Additional Information

• Board Certifications: Neurological Surgery
• EMR: Powerchart
• Required Certifications: Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: No call required
• Patients per day: Approximately 10
• LOA: 28 Days
• Staffing Mix: Working collaboratively with other APPs and surgeons
