Locum Tenens Physician - Neurological Surgeon Needed in MO

Job Description

We are seeking a Neurological Surgeon Physician for an exciting 36-day assignment in Missouri, starting Sep 14, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts from 7a-7a, focusing on general neurosurgery cases including tumors, VP shunt procedures, spinal surgery with and without instrumentation, and placement of ICP monitors. Responsibilities also include hospital rounding, first assisting, and seeing follow-up and new patients in the clinic.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform general neurosurgery procedures, including tumor removal
• Conduct VP shunt procedures
• Execute spinal surgery with instrumentation
• Execute spinal surgery without instrumentation
• Place ICP monitors
• Perform hospital rounding
• Provide first assist duties as needed
• See follow-up patients in the clinic
• Manage a small percentage of new patients in the clinic
