We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 25-day locum tenens assignment in Alaska, starting Oct 22, 2024. This role involves intermittent 24-hour shifts throughout October, November, and December, focusing on comprehensive obstetrical care including amniocentesis, routine and complicated deliveries, vaginal and low forceps deliveries, and decision-making for c-sections.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform amniocentesis
  • Conduct routine vaginal deliveries
  • Manage low forceps deliveries
  • Determine the necessity and execute c-sections
  • Handle complicated deliveries
  • Care for low-risk pregnancies
  • Manage high-risk pregnancies
  • Interpret FHR (NST/CST/FSE)
  • Perform and interpret OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening for viability, Level II/Targeted for anatomy)

  • Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • EMR: Athenahealth, Cerner
  • Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Call Schedule: Out of House Call
  • Patients per day: 5
  • LOA: 25 Days
