Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in California

We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an urgent 6-day locum tenens assignment in California. This inpatient opportunity involves 24-hour call coverage with 7a-7a shifts, focusing on managing 7-18 triages and an average of 3 deliveries/C-sections per day. The role requires the physician to serve as the sole OB on call, handling a high volume of cases including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries within the facilitys labor and delivery unit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide in-house or out-of-house 24-hour call coverage for obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
• Manage a caseload of 7-18 patient triages daily, with an average of 12.
• Perform 1-7 deliveries and C-sections per day, with a typical average of 3.
• Serve as the primary Obstetrics Physician on call, handling all inpatient call duties for vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries.
• Collaborate with another Obstetrics Physician who will be on call for some concurrent dates.
• Handle high-volume scenarios within a district where the facility is the only one with labor and delivery services.
