We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician for an 8-day assignment in Kentucky, starting Dec 17, 2026. Our client requires coverage for flexible 24-hour call shifts, specifically any five days between Dec 17, 2026, and Jan 1, 2027, with additional availability over the New Year. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities including deliveries, C-sections, patient rounding, and consultations, demanding a swift response to all callbacks.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cover full 24-hour call shifts for assigned dates
Maintain out-of-house call readiness from a local hotel
Respond quickly to callbacks for deliveries and other urgent situations
Conduct patient consultations and rounding
Perform deliveries and C-sections
Manage patient follow-ups
Additional Information
Required Board Certifications: Obstetrics and Gynecology
Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Patients per day: 1-4 patients, with approximately 20-30 deliveries per month at the facility
LOA: 8 Days
Staffing Mix: The team includes one permanent OB/GYN Physician, one permanent Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM), and experienced NRP-certified RN staff. The covering physician will be the only OB/GYN MD on call and must be willing to be first on call, with the CNM assisting on some call days. Pediatric Hospitalist MD and Emergency Room MD are also on call, alongside full Anesthesia staff.
