Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for our client in Missouri. This 360-day assignment is set to commence on Sep 4, 2026, with a consistent weekend schedule from Friday 5 PM to Monday 5 AM. The role involves comprehensive care for low and high-risk pregnancies, FHR interpretation, various OB ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and managing routine to complicated deliveries, including repair of lacerations. Additionally, the physician will perform a range of office-based, minor, and major surgical gynecological procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide care for low and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform FHR interpretation, including NST/CST/FSE.
  • Conduct and interpret OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening viability, Level II/Targeted anatomic).
  • Perform Amniocentesis procedures.
  • Manage routine deliveries, including vaginal, low forceps, and c-section decision-making.
  • Handle complicated deliveries such as c-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs.
  • Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
  • Execute office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP).
  • Perform surgical gynecology, including open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation).
  • Conduct operative/major gynecological procedures, including diagnostic (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs).


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
  • The facility utilizes Epic EMR.
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days.
  • The department has 16 beds, including 8 LDRP and 8 couplet/GYN.
  • Staffing includes RNs at 1:1 during labor, 2:1 post partum, and 4:1 for women's health. The office staff comprises 1 Nurse Practitioner and 16 support staff (Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Patient Service Representatives).
  • The schedule specifies shifts from Friday 5 PM to Monday 5 AM.
