Our client in VA is seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for an 8-day assignment. This role involves a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, complimented by a 1:3 out-of-house call rotation where the Hospitalist group covers every Monday and one weekend per month (Friday-Sunday). The physician will focus on GYN surgery, especially hysterectomies, and manage cases such as ectopic pregnancies and D&Cs, alongside general consultations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform GYN surgeries, with a focus on hysterectomies.
Manage cases involving ectopic pregnancies and D&Cs.
Provide timely consultations as required.
Additional Information
Board Certification: Obstetrics and Gynecology
Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
EMR: Epic
Setting: Clinic and Call (inpatient and outpatient components)
Call Schedule: 1:3 out-of-house call, including every Monday and one weekend per month (Friday-Sunday)
Patient Volume: Average 15-20 outpatient visits per day, with up to 25 on some days
LOA: 8 Days
Staffing Mix: Each provider supported by one clinical person daily
