Job Description

We are seeking an Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 1-day assignment starting Sep 25, 2026, in Massachusetts. Our client needs coverage from 7:30am to 3:30pm, with duties focused on providing standard care for minor work-related injuries, including splinting and suturing, and managing various occupational health needs for walk-in patients from a local construction site.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide standard care for minor work-related injuries.
  • Perform splinting and suturing when indicated.
  • Refer severe cases for appropriate advanced care.
  • Determine the necessity of X-rays; on-site ordering is available.
  • Assess tetanus vaccination needs for patients.
  • Document employer-requested drug tests.
  • Evaluate and document patient return-to-work status.
  • Manage a variety of work-related injuries including lacerations, twisted knees, sprains, chemical exposures, foreign bodies in the eye, and concussions.
  • Serve a patient population consisting solely of walk-ins from a local construction site.
