Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Medicine Needed in Nevada

Our client in Nevada is seeking a dedicated Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner to begin a 7-day assignment. This role involves intermittent day shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on performing focused evaluations, physical exams, and managing work-related injuries and illnesses, alongside conducting DOT physicals and completing necessary documentation.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform focused evaluations and physical exams for work-related injuries and illnesses
• Diagnose and manage common musculoskeletal injuries, minor head injuries, chest and abdominal trauma, and suspected hernias
• Treat lacerations including suturing and wound care
• Remove superficial eye foreign bodies and manage non-vision-threatening eye injuries
• Evaluate and treat occupational skin conditions and work-related respiratory symptoms including asthma
• Perform DOT physicals in compliance with FMCSA guidelines
• Provide return-to-work determinations and work restrictions
• Complete workers’ compensation and regulatory documentation accurately
• Communicate care plans with employers and refer complex cases as appropriate

• Patients per day: 16 on average, all DOT visits
