Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Occupational Medicine Needed in Colorado

Our client in Colorado is actively seeking an Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant for a 10-day assignment. This role involves providing care on specific dates, typically during 8-5 shifts with an hour unpaid lunch. The position focuses on comprehensive occupational medicine duties including DOT physicals, evaluation and treatment of workplace injuries, pre-employment exams, and managing various work-related conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform DOT physicals and complete FMCSA certification.
• Evaluate and treat a range of workplace injuries.
• Conduct workers’ comp follow-ups and provide return-to-work clearance.
• Administer pre-employment and fit-for-duty examinations.
• Complete all necessary employer and DOT documentation.
• Manage basic urgent care and general occupational medicine visits.
• Handle common occupational musculoskeletal injuries of the neck, back, and extremities.
• Assess work-related head injuries, chest or abdomen injuries, and lacerations.
• Treat work-related foreign bodies in the eye, non-penetrating eye injuries, and occupational skin conditions.
• Address occupational asthma and other work-related respiratory symptoms.
