Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Oncology - Medical Needed in AZ

Job Description

We are seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment in Arizona, starting Nov 9, 2026. This role involves managing new and established oncology patient visits, performing treatment follow-ups, reviewing diagnostic results, and coordinating comprehensive patient care. The schedule includes consistent 8-hour shifts, focusing on monitoring various therapies and providing essential patient education and support.

Responsibilities and Duties

• New and established patient visits
• Oncology treatment follow-ups
• Review of labs, imaging, and treatment response
• Management of treatment-related symptoms and side effects
• Patient education and supportive care
• Monitoring patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy
• Coordination of care with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pharmacy, infusion nursing, imaging, laboratory, and supportive-care teams
• Management/follow-up of hematologic disorders and hematologic malignancies
• Treat a very broad oncology population, including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, ovarian, uterine, kidney, bladder, liver, thyroid, head/neck and other solid tumors, as well as lymphoma, Hodgkin disease, multiple myeloma and other hematologic malignancies
