Job Description

We are seeking an Optometrist for a 60-day assignment with our client in Montana, starting Jul 13, 2026. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This assignment involves managing a comprehensive range of optometry cases, from infant to elder, including urgent issues, traumas, and post-operative care, with appointment lengths varying from 15 to 45 minutes.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive optometry care for patients ranging from infants to elders.
  • Manage urgent ocular issues requiring medical and therapeutic intervention.
  • Address complex cases including traumas, post-operative care, glaucoma, macular degeneration, uveitis, and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Perform minor procedures such as lash epilation, punctual dilation/irrigation, corneal and conjunctival foreign body removals, and application of bandage contact lenses and pressure patches.
  • Utilize available onsite equipment, including phoropter, slit lamp, eye chart, and exam chair.
  • Conduct patient appointments with varying lengths between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the patient's age and case complexity.
