Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist for a 240-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio. This role involves working within a rural primary-care optometry setting, managing approximately 18–20 patients per day. The Optometrist will provide a mix of routine eye exams, medical visits, red eye evaluations, and follow-ups, supported by dedicated scribes.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Comprehensive/routine eye exams
  • Red eye evaluations
  • Follow-up examinations
  • Dry eye evaluations and management
  • Contact lens examinations/fittings
  • Glasses/refraction
  • General ocular health evaluations
  • Pre- and post-operative eye care
  • Glaucoma evaluation and management
  • Cataract evaluation
  • Cataract post-operative follow-ups
  • Other post-operative surgical follow-ups
  • Ocular surface/dry eye cases
  • Acute red-eye presentations
