Job Description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner for our client in Oregon, embarking on a 120-day assignment starting Oct 19, 2026. This pivotal role involves providing first assist in orthopedic surgical cases, evaluating new orthopedic consultations, and managing follow-up and post-operative visits. The schedule offers flexibility with typical shifts running 8 AM to 6 PM for clinic days or 7 AM to 4 PM for surgery days, including participation in weekday and weekend call rotations.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • First assist in orthopedic surgical cases
  • Evaluate new orthopedic consultations
  • Manage follow-up and post-operative visits
  • Diagnose and treat fractures and musculoskeletal injuries
  • Perform joint injections and aspirations
  • Order and interpret imaging studies
  • Develop treatment plans with supervising surgeons
  • Round on post-operative orthopedic patients as needed
  • Participate in weekday and weekend call rotation
  • Complete documentation and patient education

  • Provider will be seeing primary and revision total knee replacements, primary and revision total hip replacements, shoulder arthroplasty and rotator cuff pathology, sports medicine injuries, acute and chronic fractures, osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease, meniscal and ligament injuries, tendon injuries and overuse conditions, pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-up care, joint injections and aspiration procedures, and general orthopedic consultations (adult and adolescent).
