Locum Tenens Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in Kentucky

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon in Kentucky for a 60-day assignment. This full-time role involves a schedule of 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, complemented by a 7am to 7am on-call rotation which includes weekends. The Physician will be responsible for a mix of clinic and call duties, focusing on patient consults, rounding, and performing various trauma, joint, and fracture repairs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform clinic and call duties, comfortable with consistent procedures.
• Conduct rounding and patient consults.
• Manage typical trauma, joint, and fracture repairs.
• Perform arthroscopy and total joint replacement, including hip and knee procedures.

• Board Certifications: Orthopaedic Surgery
• Other Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EMR: Meditech EHR
• Work Setting: Clinic and Call (Inpatient/Outpatient blend)
• Call Schedule and Requirements: Out of House Call; primary Ortho MD on call during weeks of coverage, including weekend call with callbacks for typical trauma, joint, and fracture repairs.
• Patients per day volume: Approximately 20-25 patients
• LOA: 60 Days
• Staffing Mix: 1 MD, 1 DO, 1 PA, experienced nursing staff, 4 office staff
