Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for a 151-day assignment in Ohio, starting Jul 6, 2026. This role involves a 3-day rotation focusing on grossing specimens, reading numerous slides, and managing diverse surgical and cytology cases, alongside frozen sections and call coverage. The Pathologist will interpret bone marrow aspirate/biopsies, perform FNAs, and cover blood bank duties, ensuring comprehensive patient care for our client.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform Surgical Pathology including GI, GU, Neuropathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Aspiration/biopsy of bone marrow, Interpretation of bone marrow aspirate/biopsy, and Pediatric tumor pathology.
  • Conduct Cytology cases for GYN and Non-GYN, and perform FNAs.
  • Handle Grossing or cutting frozen sections.
  • Oversee Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, and Blood bank responsibilities.
  • Comfortable grossing specimens and performing FNA/Rapid Interpretation.
  • Participate in a 3-day rotation, which includes grossing specimens (3-4 hours every third day), reading 200-250 slides, and managing surgical and cytology cases.
  • Provide frozen section coverage and call coverage.
  • Work with a case mix that typically includes surgical nephrology, general pathology, GI, breast, hematology (minimal), and gyn/non-gyn pathology.
