Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Needed in PA

Job Description

We are seeking an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 40-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026, in Pennsylvania. This role involves working 12-hour shifts, available for either AM or PM, within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide acute care as an Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner within a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
• Work 12-hour shifts, with AM and PM options available.
• Manage a patient load of 4-8 patients per APP.
• Perform procedures including arterial, central venous, and chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and lumbar punctures.
• Collaborate with a team of APPs within a 38-bed Peds CICU.

Additional Information

• Board Certification: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC).
• EMR: Epic.
• Shift Hours: 12 Hours In House, AM or PM.
• ECMO experience is not required.
