Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Needed in Pennsylvania

We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 40-day assignment in Pennsylvania. This role involves providing acute critical care to pediatric patients in a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The schedule will consist of 4-8 shifts per month, with a mix of 12-hour day and 13-14 hour night shifts, primarily focusing on night coverage, coordinated in advance each month.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide acute critical care within a 38-bed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
• Work a combination of 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM-6:00/6:30 PM) and 13-14 hour night shifts (5:00/5:30 PM-7:00/7:30 AM).
• Manage a patient load of 4-8 patients per APP.
• Demonstrate comfort with procedures including arterial line placement, central venous line placement, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and lumbar punctures.
• Show familiarity with angiograms and Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs).
