Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 15-day assignment starting Aug 1, 2026, in California. Our client needs a physician to manage 10-15 patients daily in the pediatrics floor, handle ER consults, and cases in the pediatric burn unit. The role involves addressing common acute illnesses, chronic condition exacerbations, and post-operative care, with shifts normally lasting 12 hours, though 24-hour shifts may be available. Flexibility for day or night shifts is essential, and PALS is required.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage 10-15 patients daily in the pediatrics floor.
  • Handle 0-5 ER consults per day.
  • Oversee 0-3 cases per day in the pediatrics burn unit.
  • Provide care for common acute illnesses, chronic condition exacerbations, and post-operative patients.
  • Perform lumbar punctures as needed.
  • Work in house shifts, with normal shifts being 12 hours; 24-hour shifts are possible.
  • Demonstrate flexibility for day or night shifts.
  • PALS certification is required.
