We are seeking a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine for a 68-day assignment in Colorado. This role involves a schedule of minimum 3 and maximum 5 shifts per week, comprising 12-hour rounding and 12-hour on-call shifts. The successful candidate will manage ICU adults and pediatric patients, perform newborn intubation, and handle emergency umbilical cord catheterizations, in addition to supporting deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Manage adult and pediatric patients in the ICU, including those requiring continuous infusions.
Perform newborn intubation.
Execute emergency umbilical cord catheterization.
Oversee deliveries for pregnancies 35 weeks and above.
Address pre-term labor cases, which may occur occasionally due to altitude.
Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
EMR: Epic.
Setting: Inpatient.
Call Schedule: Inhouse call, 12-hour rounding shifts with 12-hour call.
Patient Volume: 8-12 patients per day.
LOA: 68 Days.
Staffing Mix: During on-call shifts, an ANE, CRNA, ER MD, and trauma surgeon are always present. This position works with 3 other doctors, but shifts are typically solo provider.
