Locum Tenens Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist Needed in OH

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist for an ongoing 48-day assignment in Ohio. Our client offers a flexible schedule, with 4–8 shifts per month typically in 3–4 day blocks, designed to accommodate your availability. In this role, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care, working 12-hour days from 6am to 6pm, focusing on rounding and admissions for general pediatric patients while excluding newborn care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide inpatient care for general pediatric patients.
• Work 12-hour shifts, typically from 6am to 6pm.
• Manage daily patient rounds, seeing approximately 5-15 pediatric patients.
• Handle pediatric admissions, generally ranging from 4-7 patients daily.
• Collaborate with day and night hospitalist teams to ensure comprehensive patient coverage.
• Address occasional pediatric consults from other services.
• Focus on general inpatient pediatrics; no procedures are required.
• Exclusively manage pediatric patients, with no responsibility for newborn care.
• Consult for emergency department admissions via phone, rarely requiring direct ER presence.
