Job Description

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Pediatric Surgeon for a crucial 90-day assignment in Arizona, commencing Oct 2, 2026. In this role, the Physician will be responsible for seeing patients in the department and performing a comprehensive range of pediatric surgical procedures, encompassing laparoscopic surgeries, vascular procedures, and GI endoscopy, ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the assignment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric and neonatal patients.
  • Perform a variety of pediatric surgical procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication.
  • Conduct head/neck surgery, including thyroid procedures, and chest wall/pleural procedures.
  • Perform breast surgery and GI endoscopy, including upper and lower endoscopies, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.
  • Address minor orthopedic and hand surgery cases.
  • Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement.
  • Perform vascular surgery, including aneurysm repairs, thoracic, abdominal, arterial bypass, and peripheral procedures, along with vascular access device placement.
  • Address esophageal, intestinal, and biliary issues.
  • Manage abdominal wall defects such as gastroschisis, umbilical defects, hernia, omphalocele, diaphragmatic hernia, and imperforate anus.
  • Perform PDA ligation.


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Pediatric Surgery is required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
