Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Psychiatry Needed in OR

Job Description

Our client in Oregon is seeking a Psychiatry Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment starting Jul 13, 2026. This role involves a schedule of 5 8-hour or 4 10-hour shifts, focusing on providing direct psycho-diagnostic, psycho-therapeutic treatments, and psycho-pharmacological evaluation management to primary care and psychiatric patients, including diagnosing and prescribing for psychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide direct psycho-diagnostic, psycho-therapeutic treatments, psycho-pharmacological evaluation management, and therapy to primary care and psychiatric patients in the health center.
• Diagnose, conduct therapy (when appropriate), and prescribe medications to patients who have psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders, or substance abuse problems.
• Utilize medical judgment as required to determine the appropriate procedure within the scope of practice.
